Math and Science
Many students are intimidated by math and science. Whether this is due to a lack of cultural emphasis or simply poor teaching, we can’t say. Good math and science teachers do exist, but all too often, a bad experience with a math or science class leaves a student disinterested, anxious, or worse, lacking in self-esteem.
If your student is struggling in a particular class, or if they just want to learn more about a subject, give us a call. We use focused, customized methods to help a student improve his or her grades on homework, quizzes, and tests. We also constantly emphasize the development of a set of skills that help the student learn subjects faster and in more depth.
But it’s more than that. Our tutors convey their fascination with nature and admiration of the beauty of mathematics at every session with their student. Sure, not every student who works with us comes away wanting to be a scientist. But they nearly always realize after working with us that not only can you earn good grades in math and science, but that it’s at least possible to love it.
